Bio

I am a mother, a physician for thirty years, co-editor and author of Narrative Medicine: A guidebook to transforming hearts and minds, a writer of poetry, essay, and memoir. I am also a dog lover especially since Polo and Bowie came into our lives. I write about all of these things. I live with my husband in Los Angeles.
